Also helps prevent slamming little fingers when attempting to open and prevents toddlers from climbing drawers. Robust enough to withstand the strength of the most determined toddler. Easy installation method requires no tools or drilling, therefore causing no damage to cupboards. The magnetic key is universal and will open all locked cupboards and drawers. How to use the Magnetic Child Safety Locks: Once installed correctly, the lock will automatically lock when you close the cabinet or drawer. To open, simply touch the magnetic key against the front of the door. Magnetic Lock Special Features: The lock has a disable feature so cabinet/drawer can open normally when baby is not around. Locks are not visible from outside the cabinet or drawer. Important Information to check BEFORE purchasing: Not suitable for Cabinets or Drawers with a steel frame and exterior. Inspect your drawer on the inside first. Ensure that there enough space between the top of the drawer, and the inside of the drawer to accommodate the lock The gap must be 4cm or more – refer to image below. The magnetic child locks can be used on drawers with metal sides inside.  However, the gap must allow for the lock to fit. Space required: 4cm or more. Refer to image below: Magnetic Child Safety Locks Installation Instructions: Installation instructions are included in the product packaging. Clean area with alcohol swabs provided. Keep the key within reach when installing. Refer to below images to ensure the best placement  i.e sideways for drawers and upright for cupboards. Start by installing the lock catcher first, refer to below images. Ensure that the catch is facing the right way, otherwise the lock won’t catch. Use the cradle supplied as a guide to place the lock component in line with the catcher. Remove the non-stick sleeve exposing the sticky adhesive tape and close the door to stick it down. Once your lock is installed and working effectively, press down for 20 seconds, giving it a wiggle to ensure there are no air bubbles left under the self-adhesive tape. De-activate and leave to set for at least 12 hours before using. (This is to ensure the adhesive sets properly.) In some cases, drawers are embedded within the frame, refer to image below: In this case, leave enough space from the front, when installing the catch to allow for the drawer to still close. In other words, the catch must be placed slightly inwards/to the back (The same distance as the width of the drawers’ front i.e the width of the wood, generally 1,2cm.)
